Reflexiones sobre la ética del psicólogo / Reflections on psychologist ethics

El presente texto contiene una reflexión sobre la posición personal que asumen algunos estudiantes y profesionales de la psicología, posición desde la que miran a los otros como enfermos, como seres necesitados de ayuda, pero no suelen reconocer la patología que hay en ellos mismos; igualmente, les gusta recomendar a otros la famosa frase conócete a ti mismo, que tampoco gustan de aplicarse a sí mismos.

This text has a reflection on the personal position that some psychology students and professionals, the place from which they look at others as ill people, beings that need help, but they do not recognize their own pathology; likewise they like to recommend to others the famous line know yourself which they do not apply to their situation.

Por los abismos de la infancia / Through the abyss of childhood

Constantemente los medios de comunicación nos informan sobre el maltrato al que son sometidos los niños en todo el mundo, maltrato que se expresa en variadísimas y crueles formas y contra el cual parecen impotentes las leyes que pretenden acabarlo. Un breve recorrido por la historia nos muestra que esta crueldad puesta sobre los infantes ha existido siempre, que forma parte de una agresividad estructural humana que encuentra en los niños un blanco fácil para su descarga.

Internet, con su predomino de la imagen han dado un toque nuevo a la vieja agresividad humana, que ahora se deleita, se ensaña con la fealdad, la pobreza, la diferencia y la intimidad del otro. Como en otras épocas, hoy, el ser humano muestra que es despiadado, cruel, brutal con sus semejantes, y que haciendo uso de su inteligencia, ha puesto la tecnología al servicio de esta pulsión agresiva, exhibiendo, publicando, mostrando en las llamadas redes sociales todo lo que es capaz de hacer frente al semejante, mostrando que el semejante siempre es el blanco perfecto de esa agresividad que lo constituye.

Humor y guerra / Humor and war

A simple vista, parece haber una incompatibilidad entre el humor y aquello que tenga que ver con la muerte, el dolor, el sufrimiento humano. Mirado más profundamente el asunto, puede hallarse una gran afinidad entre ellos, ya que el humor puede servir como defensa frente a las adversidades, como un intento desesperado de nuestro psiquismo por evitar el displacer o incluso la aniquilación.

At first glance, there seems to be an incompatibility between humor and that which has to do with death, pain, human suffering. Looking more deeply into the matter, a great affinity can be found between them, since humor can serve as a defense against adversities, as a desperate attempt by our psyche to avoid displeasure or even annihilation.

Cómo fomentar en el profesional en formación el desarrollo de la capacidad de análisis y el juicio crítico que le permitan una visión universal de los problemas fundamentales de su disciplina / How to promote in the professional in formation the development of the capacity of analysis and the critical judgment that allow him a universal vision of the fundamental problems of his discipline

Textos e informes académicos y críticos, han señalado reiteradamente la mala preparación académica de la que adolecen los estudiantes cuando ingresan a la universidad. Antes, se decía, que al menos llegaban con la memoria desarrollada, ahora, lamentan algunos, ni siquiera este aspecto, tan desvalorizado por algunas posturas pedagógicas, forma parte de la dotación mental del bachiller. Así, pedagogos y maestros en acción son unánimes en denunciar este gran vacío cognitivo generalizado, cuyos efectos pueden observarse no sólo en la obstaculización de procesos al interior del aula, sino, en la mediocridad que ostentan muchos profesionales.

Academic and critical texts and reports have repeatedly pointed out the poor academic preparation that students suffer when they enter university. Before, it was said, that at least they arrived with the developed memory, now, some regret, not even this aspect, so devalued by some pedagogical positions, is part of the mental endowment of the bachelor. Thus, pedagogues and teachers in action are unanimous in denouncing this great generalized cognitive vacuum, whose effects can be observed not only in the obstruction of processes within the classroom, but in the mediocrity that many professionals hold.
